ICPerMed Study on ‘Challenges, Opportunities, and Facilitators in Implementing Personalised Medicine’

ICPerMed has developed a study on ‘Challenges, Opportunities, and Facilitators in Implementing Personalised Medicine’ outlining strategies for integrating personalised medicine into healthcare systems. The aim is to improve health outcomes and create sustainable healthcare systems through research, development, innovation, and implementation. The study identifies significant hurdles for personalised medicine implementation and offers actionable recommendations for stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, policymakers, patient organizations, and researchers.

Eight major facilitators were identified:

  • Engaging relevant stakeholders in the implementation process of personalised medicine
  • Collaboration between relevant stakeholders during the implementation process of personalised medicine
  • Establishment of a national or regional common strategy
