The PERMIT project has unveiled a comprehensive set of methodological recommendations designed to enhance the quality and impact of personalised medicine research at every stage of the pipeline.

It has broken down the recommendations into 4 different pillars, the different steps:
- Collection of patient cohort and -omics data
- Machine learning methods for patient stratification
- Translational methods for personalised medicine
- Clinical trials for personalised medicine
By bringing together a network of experts and stakeholders, the project has achieved consensus on robust methodologies that can streamline research processes, improve the quality of evidence and ultimately lead to better patient care.
The PERMIT publication sets out new recommendations for personalised medicine research that promise not only to improve reproducibility, but also to accelerate the translation of innovative approaches into clinical practice.
