The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) held its first general assembly meeting on 23 and 24 January 2024 in Brussels with more than 50 partner organisations from 24 countries and 10 European regions.
While the first EP PerMed call on #PMTargets is already open for submission of research proposals, EP PerMed partners and representatives from the European Commission and the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) gathered to discuss the current and upcoming work plans of EP PerMed as well as financial and administrative aspects of the partnership.
The Work Package Leaders presented the programme of their Work Packages for the coming years, including upcoming Joint Transnational Calls (JTCs) for research proposals and additional joint activities. EP PerMed was very pleased with the lively participation and fruitful discussions and looks forward to working together over the next 10 years to advance the implementation of personalised medicine approaches.
Close Cooperation with ICPerMed
On the second day, the event continued with the so-called Extended General Assembly, where all partners from EP PerMed and the International Consortium for Personalised Medicine (ICPerMed) came together for the first time in a joint meeting. They looked back on the successful work of ICPerMed since its launch in 2017. Together with the assembled partners of both initiatives, the future collaboration of ICPerMed and EP PerMed was discussed in order to promote the translation of personalised medicine into practice. Additional talks gave insight into other European projects or initiatives.
