The ECPM module, is a 4-week, 16-hour module designed to enhance healthcare professionals’ communication skills in the context of personalized medicine. It focuses on translating complex genomic and predictive data into clear, empathetic, and ethically sound conversations. Through eight modules, participants learn structured frameworks (SPIKES, NURSE, ACT), role-play scenarios, and reflective practices to improve patient understanding, trust, and shared decision-making. Targeted at physicians, nurses, genetic counselors, and allied health staff, the course fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and equips learners to manage emotional, ethical, and informational challenges in clinical communication.
