EP PerMed Implementation School on Personalised Medicine: “Data-Driven Research and Implementation”

November 4, 2025

The European Partnership for Personalised Medicine (EP PerMed) is proud to announce the launch of its first Implementation School, a dynamic training event dedicated to advancing personalised medicine (PM) research and implementation. The event, entitled “Data-Driven Research and Implementation”, will take place in Zaragoza (Spain) from 4 to 7 November 2025 and will be hosted by the Aragon Biomedical Research Center (CIBA) and the Aragon Health Sciences Institute (IACS).

Why a Implementation School?

As the digital and data revolutions continue to transform healthcare, their impact on personalised medicine is profound – shaping everything from clinical research and diagnostics to treatment pathways and patient care. This school provides a timely opportunity for personalised medicine researchers, healthcare professionals, health analysts, public health authorities and patients to deepen their understanding of how large-scale data (genomic, clinical, environmental, lifestyle) are collected, analysed and translated into actionable healthcare solutions.

The event aims to foster a culture of implementation-focused research and equip participants with practical skills and strategic insights for the real-world integration of personalised medicine. In particular, it will highlight the importance of incorporating implementation planning into early-stage research design – an element that is too often overlooked.

Highlights:

  • Data-centric clinical research and standards
  • Real-world data (RWD) and digital health
  • Data regulatory and ethical considerations
  • Data patient vision
  • Translational research and implementation pathways
  • Data industry and authority perspectives

Participants will engage in interactive sessions, group work and expert-led discussions covering the full spectrum of implementation of personalised medicine approaches. Special attention will be given to the feedback loops of data from clinical practice and patient experience into research and innovation to ensure that personalised medicine solutions are not only scientifically sound, but also relevant, scalable and equitable.

The training will also foster cross-border networking and interdisciplinary collaboration, supporting the growth of a strong, implementation-focused personalised medicine community across Europe and beyond.

Who should attend?

Researchers, healthcare professionals, health analysts, policymakers, and patient representatives eager to explore how big data (genomic, clinical, lifestyle, environmental) can shape future healthcare.
