The Chips Joint Undertaking (Chips JU) has opened a new call supporting the development and industrial deployment of advanced electronic components and systems for healthcare. The one-stage Innovation Action is open for applications until 16 September 2026.
The call, “Reinforcing Europe’s Strength in Health” (HORIZON-Chips-JU-2026-FT3-IA), aims to advance integrated technologies for health monitoring, imaging and biomedical research. It covers advanced wearable health technologies, personalised imaging technologies and laboratory and scientific solutions, as well as key digital technologies supporting the transformation of healthcare.
Proposals may also address edge-to-cloud architectures for distributed data processing, embedded intelligence for real-time analysis at or near the point of care, interoperable platforms, secure data protection frameworks and artificial intelligence applications for diagnostics, monitoring, prediction and clinical decision support. Automation, autonomous systems and robotics that assist healthcare delivery are also included in the call scope.
These technological areas can contribute to personalised medicine by enabling more precise imaging and diagnostics, continuous and remote monitoring, data-informed clinical decisions and healthcare interventions adapted more closely to individual patients and care settings.
Projects will be co-funded with participating national funding authorities, and applicants should therefore consult the applicable national budgets, eligibility requirements and funding conditions.
