The DAWN-AF project develops digital cardiac twins – virtual replicas of patients’ hearts – to design patient-specific ablation strategies for atrial fibrillation. By combining advanced imaging, AI-based modelling, and clinical data, the project aims to improve treatment precision, shorten recovery time, and make personalised therapies more accessible for patients worldwide.

Through the “The Story Behind Our Personalised Medicine Research Project” initiative, EP PerMed encourages young researchers from ERA PerMed and EP PerMed funded projects to communicate their work in personalised medicine in a creative and accessible way. The competition serves as a platform to highlight the role of early-career researchers and to foster greater visibility and collaboration across consortia.
