The EP PerMed podcast ‘The Science of You’ has been awarded the Life Science Excellence Award in the category Best Communication Project of the Year.

The Italian award, promoted by Homnya, celebrates outstanding projects, innovative products, and scientists who have made a significant impact in the medical and scientific fields over the past year. It aims to enhance and recognize not only research and production activities, but also educational and communication projects designed for patients or healthcare professionals. The podcast ‘The Science of You’ was selected by a jury of experts in science, communication, and innovation. Out of over 620 applications, the podcast was ranked among the top 10 finalists in each of the 20 award categories.
‘The Science of You’ is available for free on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music. The series addresses some of today’s major public health challenges through the lens of personalised medicine. The podcast is created on behalf of EP PerMed by Chora Media, coordinated by EP PerMed partner Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences. The first season is written and narrated by science communicator, author, and journalist Silvia Lazzaris. Alongside researchers, doctors, and scientists, she explores the new frontiers of medicine through the breakthroughs and innovations that have shaped personalised medicine as a global approach to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and patient monitoring.
Following the winners’ announcement, a multi-channel communication campaign will kick off in September 2025 and continue through February 2026. This phase will culminate in the selection of the top three finalists for each category, and ultimately, the overall winner of the 2025 edition. The award ceremony will take place in March 2026, with the participation of jury members, winning teams, and representatives from the scientific and institutional communities. The Life Science Excellence Awards are promoted Homnya and its editorial network, including Popular Science, Quotidiano Sanità, Health Industry, and Sanità Informazione.
