Dear subscribers,

we are pleased to send you the twelfth edition of the EP PerMed newsletter, in which we are proud to announce our first Research, Innovation and Technology Call (RITC): Test and Demonstration of Multimodal Data Approaches for Personalised Medicine (MultiPMData2026). EP PerMed will fund innovation projects in human health focusing on the use of multimodal data for personalised medicine approaches, with the aim of providing more efficient and personalised management of patients with multimorbidity – defined as having at least two chronic diseases requiring management.

EP PerMed Research, Innovation and Technology Call 2026 Announcement

EP PerMed has launched its first research, innovation and technology call (RITC2026) for proposals on “Test and Demonstration of Multimodal Data Approaches for Personalised Medicine”. This call aims to bring together enterprises with clinical actors, including healthcare providers, patients, and researchers, to test innovative solutions in controlled real-world settings to address clear needs in managing multimorbidity. In total, 18 funding organisations participate in this call with an available budget of over 14.3 Mio. € (approx.).

Advances and Learnings in Personalised Medicine

EP PerMed is looking for Advances and Learnings in Personalised Medicine (APM). APMs are activities carried out by projects, initiatives, infrastructures, research centres and healthcare centres that successfully contribute to the development of PM. These activities can exemplify achievements and learnings in research, innovation or implementation in healthcare systems or the overarching cooperation by them.

If you are involved in an APM or are aware of APMs in your country, you are warmly invited to apply via the online form. Outstanding APMs will be awarded Best Practices by EP PerMed.

EP PerMed Survey on the 'Awareness of Citizens of Personalised Medicine'

Have you been involved in a personalised treatment or are yor aware of personalised medicine approaches? EP PerMed likes to understand how well people are informed about personalised medicine, how they perceive it, and their thoughts on its potential benefits and challenges.

The anonymous survey contains 36 questions and takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. It is currently available in: English, Czech, Danish, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.

EP PerMed Hackathon – the Use of non-invasive Biomarkers within Personalised Medicine Approaches

EP PerMed is proud to present its first Hackathon — a two-day, immersive event that will bring together interdisciplinary teams of researchers, innovators, engineers, and clinicians to address relevant challenges in personalised medicine.

EP PerMed Training in Data Management in Personalised Medicine

EP PerMed is organising a two-day, hands-on training course on research data management (RDM), which will take place on 5 and 6 February 2026 in Paris, France. Interested candidates need to apply by providing details of their PM-related experience, achievements and publications, as well as their motivation.

The deadline for applications is 7 November 2025.

ICPerMed & EP PerMed Joint Conference

ICPerMed and EP PerMed are organising their first joint conference, which will take place from 26 to 27 November 2025 in Prague (Czech Republic). The conference will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Council Conclusions on personalised medicine for patients and the first Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda on Personalised Medicine (2015).

The deadline for registration is 26 October 2025.
